SOMETIMES THE ONE WHO LOVES YOU IS THE ONE WHO HURTS YOU THE MOST。

Lily hasn't always had it easy, but that's never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants。 She's come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up – she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business。 So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily's life suddenly seems almost too good to be true。

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant。 He's also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily, but Ryle's complete aversion to relationships is disturbing。 Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place。

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan – her first love and a link to the past she left behind。 He was her kindred spirit, her protector。 When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened。

With this bold and deeply personal novel, It Ends With Us is a heart-wrenching story and an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price。

This special collector's edition of It Ends With Us includes a limited-edition cover, a Q&A with author Colleen Hoover, and an excerpt from her best-selling book All Your Perfects。

The message was great but the executions was basic and cringey

My god the writing is so bad。 I think the subject matter is important to explore, but writing realistic characters would have helped make this so much more impactful。

I’m clearly in the minority but I didn’t love it。 It has a good pace which I appreciated so I finished quickly, but some things were just annoying。 I had much, much higher expectations and found it meh。

I was afraid he was going to be the man she stayed with。 On a different note though, I loved how the diary entries showed how different Atlas was。 He was sweet, patient, caring, and kind。 He never made her feel uncomfortable。 He was the only spark of happiness in her life。 I adore him。 Even as adults, he waited for her。 He was so patient and let her make her own mistakes。 He was there for her the second she needed him and he never once rushed her。 I really want to see their relationship。 I know he’ll make a wonderful husband to Lily and father to Emerson。 Also, I loved the Ellen “just keep swimming” aspect。 This entire book was Lily, Atlas, and even Lily’s mom continuing to “swim” through all the nonsense life threw at them。 I honestly have nothing bad to say about this book。 I loved the Author’s note。 What a beautiful way to end the book and to honor her mother。 Absolutely beautiful 。。。more

Loved this book。 The author clearly has an understanding of the complexities of domestic abuse and how we should not dare judge from the sidelines。

A great book。 I was a little hesitant about it towards the middle but the author describes complexity of emotions so well and it was so powerful。

Phoebe Griffiths

my one complaint is that she didn’t stay with her abuser and sometimes love can defeat all :)

i genuinely couldn’t put it down。 finished in three days。 i really went through the emotions with this book。 i was definitely sobbing at the end。 there were times it just annoyed me to read but then the next page made me cry so clearly the author is very captivating。

Not five stars because at times it read a little bit like a teenager had written it as fan fiction/missing a certain level of maturity to the voice of the narrative。。。 HOWEVER, four stars because it was extremely compelling and I couldn't put it down。 First book in a long time that I've read in two sittings。 I loved how it showed that the main character easily could fall into the same trap of abusive relationship cycles, and how easy it actually is to slip into it, despite outsiders always think Not five stars because at times it read a little bit like a teenager had written it as fan fiction/missing a certain level of maturity to the voice of the narrative。。。 HOWEVER, four stars because it was extremely compelling and I couldn't put it down。 First book in a long time that I've read in two sittings。 I loved how it showed that the main character easily could fall into the same trap of abusive relationship cycles, and how easy it actually is to slip into it, despite outsiders always thinking "that could never happen to me。" 。。。more

Even if I love reading it takes me so much time and energy to do so。 It took me so long to read until page 117 but I read the rest in one sitting。 I liked it。 As a person growing up in an abusive household this book made look at situation in other perspective and realize the importance of breaking the “loop”。

Becky Leonard

Loved it。 i cried whilst reading it and that doesnt happen to me very often。

5/5 ⭐“Just because someone hurts you doesn't mean you can simply stop loving them。 It's not a person's actions that hurt the most。 It's the love。 If there was no love attached to the action, the pain would be a little easier to bear。”This book took my heart, and teared it into pieces。 It's not meant to be considered a sad story, but it touched me and made me sob in multiple occasions - I even cried through the Note of the Author and the Acknowledgments。I have read some reviews judging the book o 5/5 ⭐“Just because someone hurts you doesn't mean you can simply stop loving them。 It's not a person's actions that hurt the most。 It's the love。 If there was no love attached to the action, the pain would be a little easier to bear。”This book took my heart, and teared it into pieces。 It's not meant to be considered a sad story, but it touched me and made me sob in multiple occasions - I even cried through the Note of the Author and the Acknowledgments。I have read some reviews judging the book on how lightly the main character takes some domestic abuse situations, and how forgiving she is。 Also on how the author tries to make us like the "bad character" and emphasize with him。 However, I think doing all this was accurate to how it happens in real life。 Right now I'm going through a rough time with my dad and my parents divorce, and find myself excusing my parents for things some people won't understand。Domestic abuse does not present itself always on the same way, and sometimes forgiveness comes harder or easier, or doesn't come at all。 Sometimes you love someone so much that you refuse to see their bad side。Leaving aside that aspect of the book, I found the plot to be easygoing and interesting - a real page turner。 I read half the book in one day, but had to stop due to exams as it was to addictive。I look forward to reading more of Colleen's books。 。。。more

I honestly have no idea how this book has such good reviews。 It felt nearly like 50 Shades fan fiction - wholly unbelievable, full of cringe characterizations。

Predictable yes。 Pull at heart strings, also a yes。 One that you could read in a day and not put down。 Yes to that too。

Hpnyknits

A soap opera by any other name。 The topic of domestic violence and the cycle of violence is at the heart of the story, with fluff of a teen love, women who want to have it all and having money is seen as a way to fix things。
